THORN OF PLENTY.
Deadly Ponies 20th anniversary collection ‘Thorn of Plenty’ pays homage to the brand’s legacy of finding beauty in the unexpected.
Designing the anniversary range provided time for reflection on Deadly Ponies’ previous two decades, with Liam and Steve describing looking through the archives as “like wandering through a wild garden, with ideas and living chaos down every path”.
As such, ‘Thorn of Plenty’ plays on the traditional term Horn of Plenty (a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly depicted as a large horn overflowing with vegetables and flowers), with the collection a celebration of the abundance of ideas and creative threads that make up the last twenty years of the brand, and often find beauty in the gnarly, prickly underside of things.
